At Western Meat Packers, we are fully committed to promoting and securing the safety, health and wellbeing of all our workers, visitors, and contractors to the premises.

We believe that a safe and healthy workplace is the fundamental right of every person and in conjunction with legislation, we strive to uphold all of our obligations.

Every second of every day we are aware of our responsibilities, in maintaining a safe and productive workplace and ensure we all minimise the risk of accidents, injury and exposure to health hazards – we actively promote Safety First.

In addition, we work closely with all our external stakeholders, customers and clients, in ensuring any additional risks, to their workers are also minimised, as far as possible.

We continue to achieve our successes through our active, committed, business owners and a Chief Executive Officer who enthusiastically endorses all safety processes that maybe required.

Our proactive safety performance can best be observed by our lost time frequency rate, decreasing by up to 80 percent.

This downward trend is also testimony, to the support the Senior Management team, throughout all department areas, continually provide to the OHS function.

These figures, represent how the business, is proudly achieving its own targets and outperforming the requirements set by specific industry benchmarks.

Our culturally diverse workforce, help support the methods set in place and all are actively encouraged to be part of the consultative mechanisms throughout.
